I use band-aids if i'm running 10 miles or more if not it happens to me, with compression shirt or with cotton.

I only have an issue when wearing a cotten shirt - hence  I no longer wear them for running.

For longer runs now, I use compression shirt and body glide.  No more problems.

How come women don't get this?? Maybe a sports bra would help.

Guys don't wear bras.  A sports bro, though...

As others have said, a compression top will solve the problem.  I just wear my tri top under heavier shirts in the winter.

I switched to a compression shirt as well, no issues since.

I used medical tape. I bought the stickiest tape known to man.  Then I went back and bought the 2nd stickiest tape.  Don't buy the stickiest tape.  Ouch.

Now, I just use glide.

x2 on the medical tape. 1 roll will last you a long time..
I've tried using body glide, but it seem to get rubbed off. It also ruined my running shirts; they've got what looks like an oily stain around the nipple areas.

I use band aids--which have always worked great.  Also, Bag Balm works great both before and after.

n.k - 2010-05-26 9:19 AM Its just my right nipple and it hurts like a bastard.  (Just for the record, I am a dude.)  My nipple started chafing last week and I've just trained through it.  It hurts the most on my runs, but I can feel the pain a bit when riding or just normal day activities.

I've been putting A & D lotion on my nipple to help with the small cuts on my nipple, but it hasn't really helped.  I have a long run (70 minutes) scheduled for tomorrow and I'm worried I'm going to make it worse.

Advice?  I can't be the only person with this problem, right?

Thanks.

I solve this with a nice tight soft undershirt or just band aids...

A little BodyGlide before longer runs works for me.

I'll throw liquid bandage in the mix.  Easy to put on and peels off easily but definitely won't come off during exercise.

I think he was just referring to very sticky tape, not one particular brand.

You might want to visit a drug store or medical supply store and explain what you are looking for.

Good think you specified this, otherwise from your photo I would've thought you were a hairy girl racing topless
