Subject: Westminster/Arvada/Broomfield Outdoor Pools?????
Hi,

I was active a few years ago but forgot all my logon stuff.  I am getting back in the game and would like to swim outside this summer.  I work just south of JeffCo Airport, anybody know of an outside pool with decent lap swimming close by?

Thank you,
Bob

Lakeshore Athletic Club is expensive but has 2 lap lanes outside.  It's in Superior but right by Flatirons Mall.

Another expensive option is Lifetime Fitness at 144 and I-25.  Other than those 2 clubs, I'm not aware of other outdoor pools besides those in neighborhoods!

In checking to see if the Myers pool might have an outdoor option, I found this: http://apexprd.org/facilities/lake-arbor-outdoor-pool

Thank you both, I am more of a fan of daily entrance fee type places.  I should have been more clear, I'm looking for a place to get 2-3 swims a week in for a couple of months.

I did find this in Layfayette that doesn't look too far away and has lap swimming Tues/Thurs 12-1 and Friday 11-12.

"Lamont Does Outdoor Pool" and only 3.50 a day

Thank you!  I will have to give them a call next week to see if they have any lap swimming.  That would be convenient.

On Google Sat pics it does look like they have lane lines : )

Boulder has at least two public outdoor pools and Flat Irons athletic club also has an outdoor pool.

I'm pretty sure I've never seen any lap lanes at Lake Arbor. This is the only outdoor pool I've found with lap lanes in my area. And might be to far for you.

http://www.ci.wheatridge.co.us/index.aspx?nid=596But it is a nice pool.

Thank you, yeah Boulder and Anderson Park are both too far away for a lunch hour, I will try the one up in Layfayette.

Memory Square Park in Louisville has a 8 lane/25 M outdoor pool.  The town of Superior has two outdoor pools as well but I do not know if you can get a day pass.

Thanks Lurch,

That looks like a winner and a little closer and it looks like a real pool.  Lamont Does was a freak show, two lanes, one guy with a snorkel and fins, another lady doing 1 length per 10 minutes of hanging on the wall, while me and a huge guy doing the butterfly tried not to kill each in the other lane, add in the senior aquaerobics next to us blaring out their music and it was a party!

Superior says you have to be a local's guest to get in.

Thanks again, this looks like my best bet, will try it tomorrow.
