"race talk" stay on blog even after race is done

This year I've been in several robust "race talk" discussions that were easily accessible from my upcoming races screen on my blog.  When race day arrives, however, that race disappears from my blog and I'd have to check the forums or go to my race log to get to it.

Is there any way to keep races on our dashboards after the event, or to have the user define when they should drop off?  Maybe we could select the date range for that window of the dashboard as a customized option?
