Subject: Week 2 - miles and minutes

It's that time of the week again.    PM me all those miles and minutes ya'll logged this week.  Or you can post them here if that's easier.

It's been a tough week for me to find the time to train, but I will definitely be making it up this next week.  Ya'll have been such studs just plugging away at those training plans.  Keep it up!

Pulch, Vapor Trail, and Emtri - I hope you guys had awesome sprint races today!  Can't wait to hear how they went.  Pulch, I'm really wondering how you and your head faired in the ows.

Go Endless Summer!

No problems with a cold head at the weekend. The water was a balmy 14c. I had a great time and will do one of these race report things when I get the times back.

I have PM'd my current totals, is that good enough or do you need the total distances for week 2 alone?

During this week, I will doing light workouts in order to taper for next Saturday's event.   I did account for this when calculating my goals.  I get right back to training as usual next week though!

So glad you didn't have any problems with your head (now that just sounds funny)!  Looking forward to the rr.

Current totals are perfect - exactly what I need.  Thanks Pulch, and Kepola for getting them to me quickly.  I'll grab the others' from your training logs, and post them here.  So, let me know if they are wrong or need to be updated further.

Corrections were made to Endless Summer, Good In10tions, and Crazy 8s--which made a significant difference to the team stats.

Everyone else, make sure you double-check your numbers.

Race reports are up for both Emtri and me from this weekend's fun at Harriman State Park.

My numbers so far:

Run: 1h 27m 44s - 11.41 Mi

Well, Endless Summer, my performance wasn't that great last week. I was traveling so I couldn't bike, and I also think I was overtraining. I'm new to the sport, and didn't realize that I was going too hard every time. I posted a thread, and got some good responses about monitoring intensity and not working so hard-it was leaving me exhausted by the end of the week. Hopefully, I'm back on track now. My goal race is about 3 weeks!

Go Team Endless Summer!!

Back from my event.  It was fun.  Short race report soon, but the highlight of the event was my swim cap coming off halfway through the swim.  LOL!

Thanks Alreed,

I've previously done 2 novice tri's and 1 sprint tri. This was my first open water triathlon. The water may be cold but at least I'm not running in the high temperatures the other team members are racing in. At least I think that's a good thing.

I'm on my way to bed to try to get some sleep before my very first triathlon tomorrow morning. (have to get up at 4:30 am. ugh!) And I just wanted to say good luck and race well to VaporTrail and EmTri. First Oly! That's so exciting. The rest of ya'll keep training hard, and have a fun rest of the weekend. This has been a hard challenge for me because alot of unexpected things happen in life this month. But, let's finish strong! GO TEAM ENDLESS SUMMER!!!!

Looking forward to reading some race reports.

Times running out. Just checked how my totals are fairing and I should hit my run total tomorrow morning, my swim total should hopefully be passed on Tuesday night. The fly in the ointment is the cycle, still got 37miles to go, it doesn't sound a lot but I could struggle to squeeze it all in. Hows everyone else doing?
