REV3 Cedar Point

It was my first HIM, and I LOVED it. So much so, that I plan on going back and doing a full in 2012. Great venue, wonderful course (ie. fast!), all around four star event.

Don't think you can go wrong with this one. Did the Full Rev at Cedar Point Last year and it was a great race.
-The race is at a great Amussement Park so your cheering section has something to keep them busy that day before and during the race and everyone can enjoy afterwards (If you are doing the Half)
-Lake swim, fresh water and a really nice beach water was great on race day about 70 degreees (However, Lake Erie can kick up some serious waves which we saw the days prior to the race)
-Nice well supported bike and run course. Good turnout from the community who was happy to have us there.
-No monster hills on the bike and basically flat run.
-Rev 3 puts on a good expo and great opportunities to meet and talk to some of the pros.
-A very caring staff who want to make sure you have a great race day experience. The MC actually, became an emergency bike mechanic and fixed a mechanical issue in T1 for a competitior last year.

I am planning on returning and doing the Half this year (two weeks after IM Canada) because it was a great experience for the whole family and I scored a big PR.

I am glad to hear the good reviews. I am registered. It will be my second HIM. My first is in July in Muncie, IN.

Thanks for the info everyone.  Does this race fill up pretty fast?

You have plenty of time. There were about 350 in the full last year and slightly under 600 in the half so I doubt selling out is an issue.
