Is there any hard evidence to support this rumor?? I heard new version could have a touch screen?

I read today on dcrainmaker.com that he expects the new model to be released in the next 7-14 days....

other than battery life and a bit more waterproofing, what are the differences between the 305 and the 310xt?

Differences that justify a $200 increase in price? I have a 305 and love it... just wondering what all the hoopla is about the 310xt.

Well, the 305 isn't waterproof at all, where as the 310 is. The other difference is that the 310 picks up power (ant+), so if you have a powermeter, you can have that displayed on the Garmin. If you don't have a powermeter, and don't care about swimming with your garmin, then keep the 305! The only reason I upgraded was because I won a sweet gift certificate- but I had my 305 for a year, even while training with power because I couldn't justify the $200 price increase.
