Hey British Triathletes,

My dream is to race full course in the country of my wife's ancestry. Could you comment on the comparison of what you have heard or learned about the two races above which can be done in July?

If not, can you direct me to a message board that would be appropriate?

Thanks!

Try the iron=distance forum here on BT, or www.TriTalk.co.uk

From what I've heard is that IMUK more expensive, because it's a WTC race. Along with being a WTC event, though, you get the crowds and all the hubbub that goes along with an M-Dot race.

We chose Outlaw Tri for 2012 (her first, my second) because it's allegedly a great swim, less crowded, well-run, a mostly flat course, independent that's not too expensive. I dont care about the crowds, much, and like scenic rides.

The good thing with a WTC race is it's like a Marriott or Hilton hotel -- you always know you're going to get a comfy bed right in the middle of all the action, but sometimes you long for a cozy, homey, off-the-beaten-path bed-n-breakfast in the country where the service is more personal.
