Marble Falls

did it two years ago and loved it.  swim is usually with the current, so a nice split.  Bike has got some hills, but enjoyed it.  Run has some small hills and one big one at the end. 

Its not that huge of a race, so you don't have to deal with huge crowds.  I would say that the overall field is pretty fast, so if you are not fast expect to place lower than you normally do. 

Hope to do it again in a year or two. 

Done it a couple of times.  Nice, small race.  Be prepared for hills on the bike.  Run is not bad but the bike has a couple of nice ones.

After the race, go have pie at the Bluebonnet Cafe.  Mmmmmmmmmmm...

Did it last year.  It was a good race.  Water was sort of bathwater-warm so that was a little gross.  Nice rolling hills for bike. 

And after doing several beginner-friendly tris before, it was a little surprising at how not-fast I was in comparison to this group.

It's a great race!  Wonderful swim...you go under the bridge and the current was not bad at all. Like someone said, be prepared for the hills on the bike. They are tough but very fun. The scenery is gorgeous.  The run had some smallish hills, along the river and back into a neighborhood.  It was well worth the drive for me (corpus area).
