Subject: Medial Knee pain when riding outside
I experienced some medial pain the last month or so only when riding outdoors.  I don't experience when I am on the trainer (including intense trainer sessions).  I seem to notice it after 20 minutes in the ride and it usually goes about within 15-20 minutes. Any thoughts? I ride hilly terrain.

Too heavy of a gear on the hills? I have knee pain too, ride lots of hills, and have started shifting to easier gear on the hills. Seems to have helped. Good luck, hope you figure it out quickly,

Is it at the same place on your route? If so, there might be something you're doing at that point in the ride that you're not doing earlier.
