Subject: Los Angeles Triathlon - 9/11/05
The race is this Sunday and I'm doing the Sprint. BTW, this is my first tri! Wish me luck! Anyone else doing it?

I was planning on going to watch as my first tri is on the 25th in Carpinteria. Are the transitions in different locations?

Thanks! I'll need all the luck I can get! But,yeah, this is a point-to-point race. T1 is in Venice as leave the swim(about a 100 yd away). T2 is by the Staples Center. This is also where the finish is located. Definitely come on by and check it out.

Hey Dave,

I just go done with LA and I'm doing Carp as well.  LA was very hard, but a lot of fun.  It really kicked my butt and I'm a bit sore right now but I am looking forward to doing it next year, maybe the Oly next time.
Good luck at Carp, I'm told it is a really fun race.

congrats on LA. Thats awsome.

I was up in carp a few weeks ago and the bike course is almost all flat. They changed it due to flooding last January. It should be alot of fun and not too hard. It seems like the closer it gets the less I sleep. Really nervous about the swim. I am going to try and get two ocean swims in this week and hopfully that will help.
