Anyone else going to Gueph Lake II on Sept 3rd?

Wonder if the Region has addressed the roads, there were some rough spots for Guelph Lake I.  Does anyone know if they use the same routes in Guelph Lake II as they do in Guelph Lake I or switch it up a bit?

I'll be there for the try-a-tri again. Sprints will be next years endeavor.

Coworker will be doing the sprint.

I'll be there.  The map on trisportcanada indicates that the course is the same as the spring.  For the sprint, the 10-20km section is on a very good section of road.  For the rest... I hope everyone's fillings are in tight.

My wife and a couple friends are going to do the Try a Tri.  It's her first ever, so it will be exciting.  I"m doing the sprint in the morning and looking forward to it!  Also looking forward to that 100m sprint up the hill from the water to T1 !  Cool

Fillings are all accounted for and in good shape for the bike ride!

Sorry, but that's not correct.  The Sprint is a 10km longer ride, and a 2km longer run for the Sept race.  Same bad roads for the most part, but at least some of the extra bike leg is on better roads.

True - what I meant, which only barely made it into my post (when I said the 10-20km roads are good), was that the bike route was a subset of the olympic route, and so hasn't drastically changed from previous years.

Here it comes!  This Saturday!

Whats with the distances at this Sprint?

750m swim (no biggie)

30km bike and 7km run?  Any reason it's longer than other Sprints? Not complaining....just.....well....maybe I am complaining Cool

i think there's 2 categories of sprints among the tri series, the sprint at guelph lake II is categorized as a "long course" sprint from what I hear.

I'll be there and quite nervous about it - It'll be my first long course sprint and I don't know if I'm ready!

You and me both....10km more cycling...2km more running.  It doesn't sound like a lot but wow....it will be interesting to see what avg. times will be and if they drop that much with the extra distance....

Anyone who does Olympic and up is probably laughing politely now right?

I know FinisherPix was taking pictures at the race, but there was a reason why there was those SportsZonePhotography business cards stuck in everyone's windows - they were taking pictures as well.

I'm not the biggest fan of Finisher Pix—their site isn't responding now, but I remember them being overpriced compared to Mike Chelliak's photos. I'm glad to see some competition there. I didn't get a business card in my windshield, but I checked it out now and it looks like they took some nice shots too!

This is cool...but does that mean you have to scroll through hundreds of photos to find any?  There doesn't seem to be a place to insert your bib number, etc.

That's what I had to do to find my Try-a-Tri bike pics.  Seems they don't have a way to index them.

That said, they seem to have taken some nice shots.
