Philly Half Marathon this weekend

I used to love this race when it was the Philadelphia Distance Run. I realize it's the same course, but it's lost that "home town race" feel over the years.

I hear you! It will always be PDR to me. I am just getting back to the office after picking up my race packet. Almost everyone I talked to in line was a first-timer, and lots of out-of-towners, so it's good for the city and the economy.

On an impulse I signed up for the Philly Marathon while I was there. I'm doing Marine Corps 3 weeks prior, so I wasn't planning to do it. I'd toyed with the idea since most of my running friends will be doing it, but now I'm committed.
