Subject: First half marathon after heart surgery

I ran in the Fort Eustis (VA) Half Marathon yesterday - seven months after heart surgery to repair my mitral valve.  Time of 2:06 is now my post surgery PR!  I had a friend that was willing to hang back with me for the race, and that made it fun.  No awards, except maybe in the former heart patient division.  It feels good to have another "post surgery" milestone completed.
