That does not sound right at all. What wheels exactly?

Some are fully carbon while others will have an aluminum hoop with carbon addition for the aero part. Some like to stress the "carbon" part because it's such a big buzz word to sell things.

Using Williams wheels which are full carbon clinchers (88 MM). williams wants to look at the wheels to see what went wrong with them.

I will reserve my judgement on them until after I hear back from them.

Wanted to make a few quick comments on my experience.

Pros: Tough course, great venue and location. Very informative check-in process and pre race meeting. Lots of goodies and SWAG. They do a GREAT job taking care of the athlete. The aid stations were awesome, well staffed and lots of choices, and very friendly. They stayed and congratulated every single athlete all the way to the last one. (Unlike some other races I have done).

Cons: Information mismanagement. I cannot count on 1 hand anymore how many changes to times took place. Even between the race meeting and race day times change. They said transition closes at 6:40 when on race day they kicked us out at 6:30. I was counting on those 10 min.

The Little Rev. race which my kids were looking very forward to did not happen due to the lack of foresight and planning.

They mentioned other amenities such as a water slide at the finish line, jumpers for the kids and other stuff that never showed up.

Their website, athlete's guide, packet registration, and pre-race meeting all gave differing information. Most of it was trivial but it was the first time I have done a race that did not have concrete information.

The announcing for the swim start was sub-par in my opinion.

Tore down transition 30 min. before they said they would leave my bike and stuff out in the open with almost no-one to check on who was taking it.

Overall I think Rev3 seems like they can put on a great show and maybe it was just a the first time logistics of the dells that put them off their game. I don't know for sure since this was my first Rev3 race. I plan to do another rev3 in the future but hope it is much better then this one.

My 2 cents.
