SOMA 1/2 IM & Quarterman

I'm not this year - not up for the quarterman yet, and still skeeved from my LAST swim in Tempe Town Lake....

What happened during your swim?  I've never seen TTL so I'm not sure what to expect.  At least they don't dye it green like Sahuarita Lake.

I'm doing the 1/2 Soma, too.
The lake has a bad rep but it really isn't bad. The heavy rains and run off earlier in the year left some extra green growth floating around but I think the pacifi ocean is worse to swim in then the TTL.

I did an open water swim there in July.  It smelled, it was green and slimy, and I felt like I needed a chemical peel to get it off my skin.  I'll take the ocean any day of the week....

My First 1/2 also! I've done a couple Oly's in TTL and didn't think it was bad at all. No worse than any other lake around here. I've ridden most of the bike course a couple times and I think everyone will like it a lot! As long as the construction finishes up by race day. Good luck everyone!! Red Rock organizes very, very well so I think we can all expect a great race.

I'll be at the 3pm meeting but not so sure on the OW swim, bib# 1198 see Sat or on the course.
