Anybody use rotor cranks or power cranks? Read an interesting article on them in Inside Triathlon magazine recently. If so, how do you figure out what size to order thr rotor cranks? Their website asks for all manner of specs that is simply foreign to me.

I've been using a pair of power cranks for about 3 weeks now.  They are completely different than rotor cranks.

Powercranks help teach your body to perform better in the dead spots in the pedal stroke. Rotor cranks make it so that you don't have to.

I have used Powercranks extensively, with myself and many clients and they absolutely work. I have never used Rotor cranks, but one client has had exceptional results and a lot of athletes have been happy with them.

I will be studying this and writing an article comparing the two for Velo News next spring, so I'd love any input or suggestions. Ken

I agree w/ all of the positive stuff with Power Cranks.  However you still have to put in the saddle time and you still have to train hard to get fast.  But I believe that PC will make you strong and efficient.  Has any one seen any recent reviews on them?  The latest on that I have seen is on http://crossbikereview.com/gear/reviews/Power_Cranks_Basic.html&nbs... The other reviews that I have seen usually don't have a long term or follow up from the initial review so that leads me to think that they just rode them for a bit and then sent them back.  However, I think PEZ did a review that was more long term though..  I have used the Rotor rings and they also have some numbers to back them up.

Love mine though.. they are tough and when I get back on my race bike I can definitely tell the difference.

There is absolutely no scientific research that shows Powercranks work. There's a certain elite tri community in which they are known as GimmickCranks.
