Does anyone know how close the Alden is to the race site? I have reservations at the Alden and Hampton Inn, don't know which to go with. Both are about same price.

Hey, can someone tell me if wetsuits were allowed at St. A's the last few years? If so, do you recommend a full or sleeveless?

Thanks,
Tony

Wetsuits have been allowed the last few years, but barely.  I had sleeveless, as did most of the others.

It's about that time... Hard to believe another BT party so soon after the fun time at Gasparilla! How cool! So, who is officially organizing all the pre/post race activities- or are you all tapped out Renee?

Yeah, I really liked the whole pre-race dinner at a restaurant idea, like we did at Gasparilla (my pasta was fabulous by the way!) Maybe someone could pick a good Italian place near Vinoy Park and see if they could accommodate a large party?

Sorry, was AWOL for a few weeks there, but I'm back at training in hopes of seeing that finish line in St. Pete.

NAME (screen or real):    Motivated/Karl

DIVISION: Male AG 40-44

TRAVELING FROM:  ....  IN A PLANE, TRAIN, OR AUTOMOBILE:  Driving down from Hotlanta so I can carry all of my tri crap with me.

ARRIVING: Prolly Wednesday since I have family in the area.

STAYING AT (OR WITH)  At the "Inn at the Bay" B-n-B, a block away from the race venue.

EXCITED?  Hell yes.  Last year's event was the most fun I've ever had at a triathlon.  The race pales in comparison to the BT going's on throughout the weekend.

DIVISION: Female AG 20-24

TRAVELING FROM:  ....  IN A PLANE, TRAIN, OR AUTOMOBILE:  Driving from Ft. Lauderdale with Barry- who will be the "race photographer."

ARRIVING: Hopefully Friday afternoon, more likely Friday night, depending on Barry's schedule at the hospital. I'll know as it gets closer to the date.

STAYING AT (OR WITH)  The Hampton Inn over on 34th St. Stayed at Comfort Inn last year and decided to try Hampton- it's like 4 buildings over.

EXCITED?  I've been excited since I registered Dec. 1st!! This is my all time favorite triathlon- an amazing expo, beautiful scenery, great company and a nice flat course. I'm really excited about the big group of people that we have coming out. I'm looking foward to the BT pasta dinner (thanks for organizing Jessica!) AND beating my time from last year!
