This is a spin off the buttercup thread.

What is the best sign or funniest chant you've heard at a race?

I saw a sign in the Chicago Marathon:

"I didn't wake up early, to watch you walk....Go Mark"

I just started laughing...

I made a sign for Alpine87 at IMFL: Brett, Move Your A$$!

Except I didn't have to censure the spelling.

I sign I'm GOING TO make for my September 9th race will read:

CAN I HAVE MY BIRTHDAY SPANKINGS NOW?

I'm gonna have that on the back of my shirt.  Maybe get a few slaps on the butt while running.  That should help motivate.

Not funny, but effective. Before his first marathon, some of my friend Brent's friends had a good luck lunch for him and gave him 'gifts'. The best one (other than the feather boa) was a singlet with "Cheer for Brent" written on the front and back. He wore it and said it was fantastic--complete strangers yelling, "go Brent", "Yay Brent", and yes, "Move your a$$, Brent". Also "That's my girlfriend, Brent", but he liked that less.
