Subject: RE: Danskin Walt Disney World Triathlon I'm going with a group I've been training with!!! It's closed out now, and two of our folks didn't get registered in time, but the rest of us will have fun. My goal is to improve from my times 2 years ago, also. One thing in my favor this time is I will know the distances. 2 years ago, they told us about the bike getting shortened on Saturday at the expo, it was supposed to be 13 and they told us it would be ten but it really was 9. And they never told us the run was 2 miles instead of 5K, so my pacing was all off. I'd be willing to bet it was even a bit shorter than 2, because I'm a pretty good judge of my running pace.
One tip my coach had - start to sit more forward on the end of the bike segment to get your leg muscles transitioning to running...haven't played with that to see how it works.
Also a reminder that it's very sandy on the bike in and out, and a little hill where it gets narrow.
