Comments: Not bad for missing 2 weeks of training due to getting sick and husband having a full week's drill. It felt "good". No real pain until I hit the hills at the end. I pushed up the hills and tried my best to keep a good pace after clearing them. My quads were feeling that right after the race, and still feeling it 2 days later. What would you do differently?: Couldn't really do much about getting sick and husband's drill, but I wish I would have stayed on track for the parts I did have control over missing. Post race
Warm down: After the race the walk to the awards ceremony was enough of a warm down. I cramped in both calves trying to walk up some steps. What limited your ability to perform faster: I could have had a better result had I done the training program fully. Last updated: 2011-11-14 12:00 AM

Did the usual milling around looking for friends. Found no one. Did what I usually do when I'm alone and sat on a curb trying to wake up as it was 4am. Pre-run visit to the ladies room, then meandered over to the start where I found some friends to chat with.
Before races they usually bring in some gym ladies to do a nice little warm up and stretch to very loud techno music. Involves a bit of coordination, which I have little of, but I try anyway. Got a little winded, and a lotta stretched.
