Goood morning all! Who else has the day off today?
I'll be doing a nice 60 min spin on the KK today...always feels so good after a long run on Sunday! Some Insanity Upper Body after that! Enjoy the day!

I have my first swim lesson with a new coach today. I am kind of stressed about it, too. I have not swam since September.

Two hours today. Will do a brick.   Don't know if I want to go heavy on the trainer or the treadmill.    Seems my work outs lately are the equivalent of a sprint tri.   Way different from the past.  Two hours of training and I still have plenty of energy to get through the day.   Benefit of HIM training, I suppose.

50 mins on the KK this morning.  Masters practice at 8pm tonight.  I've been putting way more time in the pool than I typically do and it's starting to pay off!  I'm actually thinking of registering for a masters swim meet in Feb.

You are Triton!!!

I'm gonna try and hit a 1:40, 1:45 run tonight. Maybe some of it indoors. Maybe some of it aquajogging. Squelch, squish.

I have day one of my Half-Iron training plan for Eagleman. After a week off post-first-half-marathon, I'm glad it starts slow. Volume picks up soon enough.

Finally back to running after a couple of months to heal.  Only ran for half an hour but it felt like I did a marathon.  Oh well, at least I know it will get better!

Ran 21 over the weekend....haven't taken a day off in 9 days....I think today will be the day. I think I'll take the day to put up my daughters new basketball goal.

Although... I am itching to get to the pool.  Maybe tonight if the basketball project doesn't get me started drinking beer.Laughing

Had a nice 5 mile run at lunch today, right around -3C and a bit windy but the sun was out and the sidewalks were clear of ice & snow. For Jan 16th in Ontario I will take it.

I had the day off today, so I got up a little late, then ran 3 miles. Then got in some quality time on the bike with my wife. Gave blood this afternoon. It is truly a good day

Bike and swam Sat, bike and Swam sunday, probably only swimming today.  This year is the qualifying for the Senior Olympics Nationals, and I would like to up my normal events to include the 200 meter butterfly.

Butterfly takes mega upper body strength, and technique.  so swim, drills, swim, drills, swim.

Thank goodness for my swimp3 and underwater music.

Too snowy/icy out to run today so its looking like me and the trainer are going to spend a little time together.  First, I have to make a snowman with my son and maybe do a little sledding.

Didn't realize yesterday was MLK Day--no holiday here! My easy day--2200m of swimming, maybe 50m of it fly! Swim2Live, good luck!  I swam "fly" in HS and did the 200 twice--once had to pulled from the pool, once actually finished and wasn't last. Get PTSD just thinking about it. It's not just about upper body (obviously, or I'd never be able to do it), also kick, big lung capacity, and, for the 200, willpower!
