Efficient T1 continued

I had my first tri of the year this past weekend and took the advice from this site regarding the bodyglide and it work great until I hit my ankles here the chip timer was. This may be a stupid question, but can I take this off and put it back on? I had a terrible transition struggling to get over the thing.
