I can tell you from experience that the swim cap trick doesnt work though  Ear plugs are best option if its an ongoing issue. The drops do work as I have had to use them from time to time. |

Ear plugs are probably the way to go, but with the cap already over my ears, I feel like I don't hear much and I want to be able to hear what's going on around me. But, I do nearly all my swimming with open turns due to the water in the ear thing. Yes- a bathing cap pulled down over my ears helps a little. I hate the ear plugs.

Actually the reason I like the flip turn is cause it feels more acrobatic. More fun to do for me than an open turn. Its like an excuse to play like a kid and still have ppl think its just to be faster

When blowing air out your nose when you go upside down will put that reverse pressure out your ears. At least this is what I have always done and it seems to help. Don't blow all of it out just enough that gets you through the flip portion. See if that helps. |
