Pre-race routine:

Well, since I brought the fam', I was in mom role, so I packed daughter and I up, showered and ate 1/2 Cliff Bar. Daughter wanted the hotel breakfast which was NOT included (Hotwire said it was) but they gave it to us for free since she only ate some bread and hubby had some coffee. This all made us later than I would have liked.
Event warmup:

I thought I forgot my cap and goggles (in my suitcase!) so I bought those, ran around some and talked to a bunch of awesome newbies until my swim time came about. In the end, my generous husband paid for my new (and fabulous!) goggles, so I think my HP simply wanted me to have new stuff ;)

Comments:

It was awesome to have my family watching me. I passed 2 people even with the 30 second lag. Very exciting and fun :)
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. What a blast. Well, maybe put in a lower time?

Comments:

I need to learn more about this 'jumping on the bike' and 'getting into shoes' thing...

Learn more/practice transitions.
ESTIMATED transition time, actual times were not given and I forgot to wear my watch! oops :)

Huh. Looking at the biking, it seems as if this is where I really nailed my second place standing. I'm really glad I've worked so hard with the bike.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Transition 2

Comments:

What? Jump off moving bike? Ride with feet on top of shoes? Interesting...
What would you do differently?:

Maybe learn how to do some of the stuff mention above.

This is the best run I've ever done in a triathlon. Very pleased.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I'm pleased as punch.
Post race
Warm down:

Back to being mom. Immediately back in mommy role. Oh well, I loved it...I stretched some while attending to my daughter's interest in "all the doggies". So awesome.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I didn't sleep two nights before (3 hours) and the night before was rough as well.

Event comments:

This race has it all. The pre and post events, sponsors, swag = so awesome. They even have a podium and great medals you can earn. Not to mention the event for the kids the day before. Stellar.
