Short and fast is all relative, my friend. This will be my first tri. I and several others I'm sure, will be sportin' the BT temporary tatoo, so look for us.

Aaron, I should have guessed. Arn't you doing every race in the South this year?

I am staying at the Holiday Inn Express about 2 minutes from the race site on I20:

I'm in. I'll be spending the next several years trying to redeem myself for Cap Tex Tri. This will be a downpayment. I'll make sure and bring my bike in case I finish the swim.

Had signed up early but now have to go train soldiers at the National Training Center in Cali. Emailed the director and got an email that said I could use the registration for next year on any of their races, just have to reply to email during registration. Pretty cool so I didnt lose any money.

I'm planning on being there as long as I can stuff my bike into the back of my car ( I seriously need a bike rack). This will be my frist tri. I'm pretty nervous about it, but I think everything will go OK.

Hey prodrive, welcome to BT! Good luck on your first tri - this will be my first also. Make a big mark on yourself so we'll know your a BT'er. Maybe a big BT on your calf?

Hey guys,
You picked a great race for your first! It's small, easy course that is well supported and has the best Race Director in the SW USA. Good luck and have FUN!

Prodrive,

If you get a few minutes, open the profiles of a few of us in this thread and check out pics we may have so you can recognize us and say hello. I'll be in that bright, easy-to-see orange, Javelin outfit in my avatar.

Also, post a picture of yourself so we can look for you. Good luck!

Here is what I look like. If you see me on Sunday, come by and say hello, but don't expect me to talk too much, I'm a really quiet guy

Me (on the right).

By the way, I'm really impressed with how nice and welcoming you guys are. I think I'll start hanging around here more often.

Everyone here was where you are now. Heck, I'm where you are now. I don't think you'll find a better support group anywhere. The plans are great (I'm on a beginner sprint plan) and the customer support is better than any web site known to man (just ask anyone)! CS (marmadaddy) answers your questions promptly and thoroughly. Browse thru the forums and you'll see a wide range of topics that will surely touch on any training questions you might have. Boy, this sounds like an info-mercial! Can you tell I'm sold on this web site?

Anyway, glad you're here and we'll see you Sunday!

Hit up my log prodrive. Click the 'log' button on this post. I got one this week.

You'll find JeepFleeb and myself in the BT tri gear. Hanging out with other people in BT tri gear and a guy in a Javelin jersey.

I have my uni in the trunk of my car right now, and I never take it out, so that means it's going with me on Sunday. Bring yours, we can ride!

I really wanted to do this race, but I couldn't make it.

Good luck to all that attend.

JC and Prodrive, relax and enjoy it. You know you are ready, so don't over-think it.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Camy. I think I'll do OK.

However, I have realized a new problem. I just got my tri-shorts in the mail, and man, I'm too modest to wear these things! Please tell me everybody else will be looking just as ridiculous!
