1.2 miles for the swim. Is this 1920 meters, or is it done in nautical miles, and if
so, how many meters is that?

FYI:

A nautical mile is a unit of length used in marine navigation that is equal to a minute of arc of a great circle on a sphere. One international nautical mile is equivalent to 1,852 meters or 1.151 statue miles. (from http://www.metric-conversions.org/length/nautical-mile-conversion.htm)

All open water swims and triathlons that I've been aware of use statue miles, not nautical miles.

Having you been talking to my husband?  This is the way he talks and this is some thing he can spout out off the top of his head.  He was in the UCG I guess that's why.
