Subject: Rev3 Quassy route?

Hi there.

My DH and I are heading up to CT July 4th week.  We'll be staying at Bantam Lake with my sister (who actually lives in Oakville).  We were going to bring the hybrid bikes and do some easy toodling around the lake with her (on her mtb), but I've been Jones'ing to try the Rev3 half route, so I'm tending to lean towards brining the road bikes.  We could easily pick it up at various points along the way (I grew up in that area, so I'm somewhat familiar with it although it's been a while) so I wouldn't necessaryily start/end at Quassy proper (and, in fact, might prefer to avoid it and do that northern loop).

Question - is the Half route well marked?  Is it something we could follow pretty easily without worrying about downloading the map or a cue sheet (is there one even available?)?

Thanks!  Rev3 (even the Oly) is on my bucket list.....

IMO I didn't think the routes are well marked.  They used tape instead of paint.  I would bring maps.

i agree, for the race they had pink tape and large pink signs for the course, those will all be gone by now, i would bring a cue sheet for sure.

have a great time on your ride and visit!!

I believe Rev3 has struggled with the authorities (DMV or whomever it actually is) over the years, so there is virtually nothing permanent to mark the route.  Don't count on it is my point-bring your own guidance.
