From my BLOG:

I know it’s a couple weekends away but I figure it’s best to get an invite out sooner rather than later (I’ll post again next week as well.)

In preparation for the MS ride, I’m planning a couple long/SLOW (century-pace) road rides in CT on Sat 6/17 & Sun 6/18.

Some of you that have joined me on road rides earlier in the year know a good portion of the course(s): From Hebron Rails To Trails to the shore and back. I’m planning on doing around 75 miles on Sat and 50 on Sun.

As I say, it’s early yet (and I’ll re-post next week) but can you please PM me if you are interested? I’m also looking for suggestions on start time(s). I’m open to starting a bit later if some of the fine MA BTers would like to come and join in!

MapQuest Directions to Hebron Rails To Trails Parking Lot (RT 85)

Hey now, leave my old man out of this...

I did see the thread in question...you boys are just begging Marmadaddy to delete your BT accounts. This might not be a tragedy to you, but I think Rob would really miss his blog .

Who said there was anything wrong with your blog? I just meant that you enjoy blogging and if you got kicked off BT you wouldn't be able to update it. I don't know what Seth meant. He seems kinda vicious today...

Before this ride can we verify that I'm bringing the right bike? Last time I rode with you testosterone-charged animals I ended up mountain biking on a flat-bar road bike because someone thought it would be fun to go off-road!

Yikes,

Pam - I think we had a nice day at Shamrock. No need to get concerned. This will be my longest ride of the year by about 20 miles so I am gonna be at the back.

Unless I want to be in traction I will be on the road bike.

Polly- Dont side with rob cause he took you swimming last night. I am not vicious ( atleast no one says it to my face) just my pal Rob and I having a little fun. You must have missed the disclaimer where it says pay no attention to the idiots..that would Rob and me.

It is interesting to see how many other people piled on. It was a very slow day at work and it helped pass the time a lil quicker.

The only animal on the ride is Rob, I hear he challenged Heather Fuhr to a bike race this weekend! Can you believe that guy messing with the 5 time IMLP Champ...

Rob, careful your BLOG is showing...actually last time we went to the Marl-T I think I ate some blog..yuk

MM or HM we shall see

Hey now... I'll be luck if I even get to see her this weekend. And if it is on the bike, that will just be an added bonus.

And the only challenge I'm throwing out this weekend is to myself: To not hurl on the climbs!

About next weekend's rides:
These are going to be EASY rides! I am looking to do some century-paced rides to get ready for the MS ride the following weekend. Both rides will use pretty much the same course with the Sat ride throwing on a few extra miles, and hills, at the end.

I want to make it clear that these rides will be casual! They are about distance and time in saddle, not speed. And hopefully they will also be about a bunch of friends getting together for a good time!

Life changes so I'll probably come on Sunday if I'm over my cold/allergies and feeling good....it is about 90 minutes from MA....I'd love to get there about 8:15 at the earliest...but am open.

I figure you guys will be more tired on Sunday...no just kidding..life works out best that way.

I'll brick it for a short 20 minute run after it.
