Expert  1095   C-bus |  Subject: (Downtown) Cleveland Triathlons-- Roll Call!Who else will I be seeing on Sunday?!?!?!?! I was hoping to wear my new green tri kit to match my bike and TEAM United Cerebral Palsy, however, my top still hasn't come in yet and I refuse to go topless... Shoutout to cgregg for braving the wind and rain to spectate the race! Nice scars, man! We had a thunderstorm about 2 am, but no rain until the run, thank the Lord! But, boy was it windy!!!! Strong west wind on an east/west bike and run route. While the westbound was slow going with wind and uphills, the eastbound was super-fast!!!! I'll share my results when I get them. They were encouraging people to leave when done due to potential heavy downpours, so no olympic results yet. Jarvy, where were you? Someday I'll meet you in person.... |

I actually asked a woman next to me if her name as Robin! LOL I couldn't remember what you said you'd be wearing, so I went off what your photo looks like on this site. Couldn't for the life of me spot you. I was there, hanging out around the olympic racks until about 7:30. I had a really rough race (to say the least). Slow finish time of 2:52. Brutal. Could barely keep my bike upright on the Shoreway. |

Nice scars, man! Good seeing you & Steve. It was pretty cool to just spectate a tri; I'd never done that before. I had quite a few quiet chuckles to myself watching some of the people, and was mega-inspired by several others. Oh, and I learned a few things, too... like "tighten everything". I can't even tell you how many bike parts I saw falling off people's bikes today. One guy lost his seat as he came into T2! Wow, can you imagine the discomfort of that happening 5 minutes sooner???!? As for the scars, I'll gladly trade them to anyone that wants them, lol!  |

The only reason I had an inkling of that was because of the Plain Dealer lady asking me questions afterwards. WIth all the weather, they took down the clock and were getting people out of there. No results until last night. What a horrible few hours not knowing if you really did it or not!!! (I am thankful the really fast people stayed home.) |
