#953- 10.2 mi local trails. Ran 6 minutes faster than last week on the same route. It helped that it was much cooler.
#954- 6.2 mi recovery pace treadmill
#955- 18 mi trail, over 3000 ft gain in 3.5 hours. I only took in 380 calories and will have to fix that as I go longer, but I didn't feel hungry or fatigued. I only drank approximately 50 ounces (water) , even though I went out with 70. I plan on a 4 hour long run on the trails next week and really have to start focusing on fueling/hydration.
#956- 4 mi recovery
#957- 6.2 mi run + 3.3 mi hike (2500ft gain) at 15% on treadmill
#958- 8 mi out and back, easy out, hard back.

Just over 4 miles yesterday. I'm back in this. I will try to get some running in daily. Even if it's a short run. I'm back to strength training too, more often...so, it can sometimes be hard to strike the perfect balance. But, I'll try.

The PT lady says I'm still a month away from a walk/run on the treadmill, but I think I'm a month away from starting a new run streak (that may include some walking).

I brushed three years of dust off the bicycle and trainer the other day and found the derailleurs aren't responding to the shifters. Situation Normal AFU.

As a rehab assignment (or punishment for missing most of the season), my assignor gave me four coach-pitch games to umpire this week, and the first went well. I managed to leap over a few foul balls and move around the infield without embarassing myself.

Glad to see most of the usual suspects are still around. I'll be back soon. My best advice is don't break your ankle.

Good to see things have come along. I will try to heed your advice, but no promises, I've been on the ground 3 times in as many weeks.

#959- 5.7 mi with 15 x short steep hill repeats, accumulated over 1000ft gain. I do the downhills as fast as I can without being out of control. The area I chose is relatively soft, but plenty of obstacles since I am trying to improve my downhill running skills.
#960- 10.5 miles on the road, was short on time and I'm too slow on trails
#961- 10.2 mi local trails, I ran this fast for trails avg. 8:51 min/mi
#962- 18.6 mi with about 4000ft gain, 4 hour run, mostly in the 12 min/mi range with a few very slow miles (15min/mi range) over some tough technical sections I added. I fell once, but stumbled ALOT. But I have an excuse! I had some eyesight problems. I wear contacts and I thought that something was wrong with them because everything looked really cloudy, but when I got home and took them out, I realized it was my eyes and not the contacts. I saw the eye doctor and apparently I scratched up my corneas a bit. So, long story short, I couldn't see too good today and stumbled and tripped a bunch (but only actually fell once!!!).

Believe it or not, the 5.7 mile run made me the most sore. It really hits the tops of my quads coming down those hills fast. I am glad though. I feel like I have to expose every weakness I have now during training and fix it.

Friday - #684 - 2 miles after a 6 mile easy bike just to stretch out
Saturday - #685 - 2 miles

First official race of the year tomorrow at the Grand Rapids triathlon. Doing the sprint. We'll see how I feel. Not sure what to expect right now.

I hope your race went well today.

Day 116, 18.3 miles. Two weeks in a row over 60 miles, slowly making progress.

#963- 4 mi recovery
#964- 5 mi short on time, tried to run it fast but it was so hot and humid that I had to slow down quite a bit
#965- 5.7 mi trail with 15 x steep hill repeats, again fast on the downhill
#966- 10.1 mi trails

64 miles this week, but ran for over 12 hours since I put in alot of trail miles. I am under 4 months to go and feel that I still need to get more miles/time in. I plan on continuing to ramp up my long run, and I may start doing one or two days of doubles. I am also trying to stay focused on alot of hill running. I've been feeling good lately and am pretty sure I can handle a heavier load. No real issues whatsoever. Even my knee tendonitis that's been annoying me for over a year has settled down.

Day #216.

My mileage has been down from my peak earlier this year.  It has taken me longer to recover after my marathon in Fargo I did something to my hip.  It is feeling better slowly though.

I have also been getting more time out on the bike.
