Nice work!

Yeah, I don't ever see myself being one of the top 10 or 50 people. I took a look at the registered streak list (I've never bothered to register, and doubt I would for now), but I would only be in about the top 500 if memory serves me right. And I'm sure there are a lot of people with streaks that aren't registered.

Yesterday was #1284.

Still at it.

#1365 was yesterday. Fought through a pretty good bout of the flu about a week ago to keep it going. Wasn't much fun.

This has definitely been the longest I've ever gone without posting here, but I just wanted to let you know I'm still at it.

#1675-6.2 mi

I haven't done too much racing this year. I've actually only done one race. I did a Spartan Ultra-Beast. I ran in the elite field and did ok, but nothing spectacular, finished in the top quarter of the elites, but not near the front of the field as I was hoping. I think it was 26.3 miles, but with a ton of elevation gain and loss, something like 10k feet, plus with obstacles. I ran my first loop fine, in around 3:30, but I had MAJOR cramping issues on the second lap. It was a lack of preparation, both with race strategy and volume. I underestimated this race. If I had a good nutrition/hydration plan, and a bit more preparation I could have done much better I think. I signed up for another one in September, but am really busy this year with other life issues and am having a hard time scheduling races. I may have to pass on that race to get a Hardrock qualifier in this year.

I applied for a ton of "famous" ultras this year, but wasn't selected for any of them....Badwater, Leadville, Western States...Hardrock..off the top of my head. Hardrock is really one of those "bucket list" races I really want to do, so I'll keep applying!! (provided I can keep up on running the qualifiers)

I'm heading out the Hawaii next month. I'll be on the Big Island, and Maui, and plan to get some awesome runs in. I'll be camping on Mauna Loa, and will have the opportunity for some high altitude running, so I'm really looking forward to that.

I also have no plans on stopping!

5 years is around the corner, hope I can make it!!

Awesome that you're still going. Congrats on doing the Ultra-Beast. Someday I have aspirations for something like that, but not at the moment.

Enjoy Hawaii, and let us know when you hit 5 years! I'm about 1.5 months away from 4 years myself, and obviously no plans on stopping!

Yesterday was #1408 with a 4 mile easy run at lunch.

Great job guys!

I'm still at it too, must be around 2 1/2 years. I would need to go back in me logs to see the exact days.

First race in over a year this weekend, TitleTown Ultra, doing the 6 hour.

#689 - 2 treadmiles.

I'm still at it too, though work has turned a rest week into a rest month. Glad to see old blood and new here. Figuratively, anyway. I doubt any of us are looking to see literal blood of any age.

Who'd have thought I'd get 1500+ straight days out of this. It's been a crazy run (pun intended).

Anyone else still rolling along?

I am at #1598 as of last night with a brutal 5.5 mile interval workout. Signed up for my first full marathon - Phoenix in late February. Hopefully I survive!

Day 1883- 2 miles

Its been a long time since I posted, but I'm still going. Over 5 years now, almost 5 years and 2 months. I did go to Hawaii, I didn't end up going to the big island due to some logistical problems, so I stayed in Maui. I did run up on Haleakala which goes up over 10000 ft. I ran down into the crater. Probably the coolest run I ever had, and the altitude didn't really bother me. I did about 10 miles. I also had some awesome runs in the West Maui Mountians.

In October of this year I did a Spartan Ultra Beast in Killington VT. I lost my headlamp during the race and had to race the second loop really fast to make sure I got in before dark or I would have been facing a DQ. It was challenging, but fun. I ran in the elite field again and did ok, nothing spectacular.

I'm a bit concerned about my streak though. Since the summer I've been focusing on mixed martial arts. I've been doing boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, and wrestling, I'm bruised and sore probably 100% of the time, but I'm having fun. I'm probably doing a grappling tournament in Feb, but I also applied for the Leadville 100 lottery again. So whether or not I get into that will dictate how my training goes next year. If I do get in I'd really want to go sub 24.

I'm running alot less mileage lately, but I"m still going, and I'll keep going till the wheels come off.

Good luck in your marathon. With over 1600 days of running in a row, I think you have a good enough base!

Haven't posted here in a long time, but...still going. Yesterday was #1750, 250 straight weeks. Did the Riverbank Run 25K on Saturday, which is a pretty well known race here in Grand Rapids. Plantar fasciitis problems had been keeping me from doing longer distances since my marathon in February, had only gotten 8 or 10 miles maybe twice, and only once without having to stop due to the PF. Was doing pretty well until about mile 11 when it is very hilly and the road is slanted big time to one side, which very much forced my foot to over pronate and kicked the PF in pretty badly. Then I was compensating with my other leg, which really knotted up my hamstring to tighten up. Had to run/walk the last 4 miles or so. Missed my goal by over 20 minutes. The only thing that got me through the finish was carrying a picture of a great friend of mine who passed in November from a battle with cancer; he used to do this race every year, so I had to do it in his honor this time.

Hope other streaks are still going.

#1018 - I’m still running. Now that I’m on my feet 40-50 hours a week, I’ve scaled back mileage a lot. I’ve had one 20 Miles week in the last two years and haven’t raced since a turkey trot in 2015. Now that my canine running partner is benched, running seems more an indulgence then duty, but it still gets my head screwed on right. Hope we aren’t the only ones.
