Hey all,
Anyone planning on doing this? There are a lot of big names already committing to racing it. I'm signed up for the 50...

thinking about it... i have rev3 on the 14th, then spinx half or full marathon the next week, then this or a fundraiser 10k in clemson put on by the tri team there.

i've heard from a lot of people say they are riding it, guess i need to choose sometime in the next week. would do the 50 if i do.  i heard the 80 mile course is ridiculous.

I'm in for 80. I want the jersey. I just hope they keep the course open long enough for me to finish. George attracts freakishly fast riders from all over the world to attend even small charity rides. I really think this is going to be a great event. The Village he bought is really cool also. It started as a vineyard that failed. It is in a really nice part of N. Greenville county. I think I have done all of the climbs on the route and would be lying if I said it is easy. "Strap on a set" and go for 80. As long as I am there you don't have to worry about being last.

Oh, and get in quick because they are cutting the registration off at 3,500

Finish this and everything else might seem easy. Better than Sufferfest in the basement.

Yeah, 80 might be a stretch for me with those hills and what I'm guessing the speed will be. I'm in for 50 and I'll have to buy the jersey. Oh well, I only just started training in January and only have a sprint triathlon under my belt. But while you're out there yet I'm hoping I can be back getting Hincapie's signature But truth be told I'd rather be able to say I did the 80. I can't believe Cadel is going to be there.

This does look awesome.  The only logical thing to do would be to ride up next to Cadel, call him soft, steal his stuffed lion, dodge a limp wristed slap and girlish scream, and attack the group at mile 2 and hold on for a 78 mile breakaway.
