Pre-race routine:

Same as usual - porridge, coffee, got there early and set up & registered leaving 45mons to chill out. Freezing conditions with sleet showers so waited in the car as long as possible!
Had been sick for 2 weeks previous to the race with no training at all so wasn't sure what to expect!
Event warmup:

Short run to warm up and loosen legs - knew it was going to be tougher than the 1st race as jsut ddin't have that bounce in my legs.

happy with T1 although it was slower than 1st race? Nearly forgot to put my helmet on!!

again struggled on the bike - I really loose a load of places on this leg! I seem to be in the same gear as everyone else but just don't have the same power output. Loose time on up hill drags although shorter steeper hills I hold my own.

very slow - decided to just unclip and run to transition in bike shoes - took ages to get shoes off adn runners on. For some reason decided to tie my laces as well as lock lace system???

right from the run into T2 knew my legs had nothing in them - really felt like they were heavy adn took about 1.5km before I felt like they came back anyways but still not as usual.

Not be sick the weeks before

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of training for the 2 weeks prior to the race and lack of speed work.
