I didn't do anything different in the pool this morning -- braided my hair and tucked it under my cap like I do every time, same goggles, same swim cap, etc. But it felt like my swim cap was three sizes too small to the point I kept stopping and trying to adjust it. And when I tried to adjust it, I realized my forehead was numb and I couldn't tell where my swim cap even started!

This was very strange. I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and how do you prevent it?

I'm happy to report that my forehead is now back to normal. Perhaps my brain is growing?

Not sure why all of a sudeen you have this problem but it sounds like you are compressing the temporal branch of the trigeminal nerve as it passes near your ear and temporal area that supplies your forehead and you are getting a temporary paresthesias to your forehead.....loosen the google possibly

Try to keep a hand in front of you so that it touches the wall BEFORE your forehead  Wink

Hope this helps

My head goes numb when I think too much. Maybe just swim and don't think.
