Ok so i'm half serious about this...

I have a white road bike... currently has black tires, black bar tape, and black seat.  I want to try a new seat.

I know a white seat is in clear violation unless I change my bar tape.  What about a white/black combo seat?

Go red, the whole bike will be faster for it.

My opinion...The white seat would be fine, but black and white would look MUCH better if you can't get an all black. As far as bar type...stay away from white. It will only stay that way for a month anyway, then it just looks horrible.

White and black combo would be sharp for the seat, as long as the white is the trim color. You are lucky to be able to pick a color, when I got a new seat I went with the most comfortable one, only available in black.

I think that depends on if you use gloves or not. I don't ride with gloves and my white tape lasts about half a season. It's not very expensive nor time intensive to change.

Is the color going to make you any faster? You would laugh at my road bike... I have a crappy 15 year old mtb seat on it from my mtb, my bar tape is camo and the bike is red with white cables.  I think my tires are red but can't recall for sure.

Everyone makes fun of the seat but I just laugh and say well its not your sitting on it for hours at a time.

I think you should go with an orange seat so you can pick it out amongst all the bikes in the rack in T1

I think you should go with whatever color combination causes the most angst among roadie fashion police.  Seriously I think this stuff keeps some of those freaks folks up at night.  I just picture them waking up at 3:00 in the morning, pacing angrily around the room, shaking their fist in the air and mumbling incoherent thoughts to themselves about how much they hate the guy in the group ride with the socks that didn't match his helmet, and the incorrect seat/bar tape color combo.
