Comments: starting the race i felt bad and I knew I was not going to feel good this whole race. I was hoping after starting it I could shake it and start to feel better. That never happened. By mile 3 I just felt like pulling out. I still did not recover from being sick. I started this race so I just decided to try my best and push through the discomfort and general fatigue. My plan was to start out around 7:45/mile and just hold that pace and if I had some in the tank to push the last 5k. I was holding 7:45 give or take 3 seconds for around the first 6-7 miles. Then I started to feel bad to where I had to pull over and regain my bearings. I probably could have just slowed down the pace and continued but I wanted to maintain my pace since was a "practice training run". I only stopped maybe 20 seconds and then continued. Once I started again I felt better but that run down feeling was coming back. Any way I stopped again at 8.5, 10, 10.7, 11.5, 12.7. These were short breaks and I did stop my watch and start it again once I didnt feel like I was going to die. I tried to push the last mile hard as I could but I just felt terrible. I crossed the line happy to be done. I should have never gotten out of bed. What would you do differently?: Not race getting over flu like symptoms. Rachel, Ryan, and myself were all sick this week going into the race Post race
