After years of saying I'd do it and finding reasons not to, I finally completed the Lake Stevens 70.3 yesterday. Congrats to all that chimed in answering my questions about this race. It was fun and definitely worth the wait.

ps - It was kinda of sad that there was a dead deer at the bottom of the toughest hills on the course.

How did you do? It was basically perfect conditions for racing on Sunday.

6:34 - Swim was slower than I expected but everything else was fine including the bike. I was happy I finally did it.

Congratulations for getting it done! It sounds like you had a great experience. I've done it a couple of times and enjoy that race. I wish I could have done it this year. It sounds like the weather was perfect and there was certainly some great pros there.

What's the deal with the dead dear? Was it in the road?

Thanks. It was off to the side of the road. Looked like it happened the night before. Just before the climb around Mile 38 on the bike.

Yes, weather was good. Overcast in the morning and sun came out on the run. Most important, the water was very comfortable.

It has been a bucket list item for years...something to do before I'm 25. Okay, maybe I'll push that to 30. Okay, maybe I'll let it go altogether.

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
