I want to volunteer for 2014. Now that this years race is done does anyone know how long it takes for the volunteer registration to open?

I volunteered in 2010 and as I recall it took a few months from race day 2009 until the 2010 volunteer stuff went live on the website. Might even have been after the first of the year.

Keep an eye here

Having just volunteered IMLP this past weekend if you do not have something specific you are planning on signing up to do, I would highly recommend volunteering in the finishers chute, it was a ton of fun. I was there from about 1:00 until after midnight because I was having such a good time.

I'll second that, it was a great experience.

k1200rsvt, if you were catching my wife and I were in the rotation with you.

IMLP volunteers were the best I've had, at every phase of the race. Thanks for all that you did!

I did the last aid station on the run in 2012. Pretty intense experience, especially as it got close to midnight.

Any of you volunteer with my parents? They were aid stations captains at the run station near the horse show grounds. They were wearing clown outfits.

I saw them out there. It's goofy stuff like this that make a struggling athlete's day. Please tell them thanks.

My experience as a volunteer at a sprint triathlon. My reasons for arising before the sun were not to work out, but to volunteer. I wanted to give back to a sport I’m learning to love.

Everyone and anyone that has ever raced in a triathlon should take it upon themselves to volunteer at just one event next season. It is an eye-opening and inspirational experience.

If you are calm while everyone around you is losing it, you probably don’t know what the hell is going on.
