It is on my radar (being so close and a nice place to visit overall) whenever I decide to tackle another full. Not a big fan of two laps though...

I really want to do this one, but my husband gave it the thumbs down for 2014. He said 2015 better. We just got back from IMMT. Family loved it, but it was an expensive trip. Sticking close to home next season with Full Rev Cedar Point (from Cleveland). This is on my list though.

Definitely on the radar for 2016 as my second IM, to celebrate my golden jubilee birthday year!

I am starting from scratch, having lost all of my bike and run fitness over the past couple of years but continued swimming. I will train for it the smart way that's for sure.

Should be decent weather, a moderate course, and is drive-able... I  think that this will be my first full.

75-80% in at this point for 2014. Finished my first IM (Louisville) this weekend. I grew up in and around Chattanooga so hard to pass it up. Would prefer to wait for 2015 but think it would be cool to do an inaugural race.

On my radar for sometime in the future, maybe. I was planning on jumping up to a full next year (IMAZ) but I think I'm going to spend another year in the minors trying to figure this stuff out better.

That is pretty much my story too. Haven't run or biked any for the last few years but still swim. I'm swimming 2000 yds/day now and so I feel good about the swim....since it is down-river and 'easy'. :-) Biked only 17 miles on Saturday and it nearly killed me. Ugh, long way to go on my 'couch to IM' plan. But I have 13 months to get ready so really lookig forward to this race. Only 2 hrs from home and we love to visit Chattanooga! Such a cool city.

I'm definitely in! It'll be my first iron distance. Was planning to race IMFL next year as my first, but this is just too close to home to pass up.

This is going to be my first IM...not 2014 but 2015.  Shifting from IM Florida to IM Choo Choo!

I'm in for 2014 (barring registration goes off without a hitch on the 4th)....will be my 4th IM (IMFL 2010, IMLOU 2012, IMCOZ 2013). Looks like a great venue!

I'm in for 2014!
I realized last night that you can book hotels through the Ironman Chattanooga website.
Click on "Travel" and it will provide a link. Rates seem reasonable and I didn't run into any 5 day minimums.

This will be my second IM. (IMLP 2011) Let's try to make it through without cramps this time!

I am pretty new to this but I am already hooked, and am fighting the urge to sign up for this for 2014... But I think I'll probably go the responsable route and plan a HIM in 2014 and hopefully make Chattanooga my first full in 2015...

I'm interested in doing it in 2014, but the only way I'll be able to is if it doesn't sell out before December as I just won't have registration fees by Sept 4th.

I just got back from IM Lou, had a tough race, and woke up the next morning knowing I absolutely couldn't wait to do another one. It was great to train for, great weekend, and one challenging race. IMCHOO is close by, similar terrain, and I like the idea that I'll do the inaugural race. Barring any problems with registration, should be signing up on the 4th.

If I still lived in Cincinnati, I would be in for sure. More time and expense traveling from San Diego. It looks like a great race. Wish I could join!! I promised myself I will not register for anything until after the double iron is completed in October. I know I want to do one more iron next year (number 10), but not sure which one. I can always get in a non-Mdot iron distance race for less money and not a year ahead registration.

All my Louisville BT friends are doing this one.........so tempted!!!!!!

Oh c'mon!

That was my best motivational speech. :-)

Mark and I will buy you a post-race drink...if you wait 4 hrs for me after you finish.

Byrn won’t hold your hand through the long hours and miles required finishing or for success in an IM, he can only show you how to get there. The work is up to you.
