2011 55cm Kestrel 4000 ProSL SRAM Red TT bike w/POWERTAP and Joule like NEW - in Pittsburgh, PA willing to travel within reason.

Asking $4000 obo

I'm not interested in parting it out....

Bought this bike brand new at almost $9000 (with all accessories) with the intent of racing seriously. Through 3 surgeries and numerous other injuries, I've let the dream go. This bike has only been ridden outside a total of 4 times (2 races, 2 training rides) It also spent its' first winter on a trainer being ridden three times per week. This bike has seen the road less times than most bikes in a shop. It is also killing me to sell it, considering it was my dream bike.

Feel free to ask any questions about the bike, the geometry, or the feel. It is set up very aggressive at the moment for me. I'm 6' with fairly normal body geometry.

Below are the stock specs on the bike. The only thing that has changed is the Powertap hub and Joule, the seat, and the chimp cage in the front.

The bike is officially back on the market after another injury... Not really interested in breaking the bike up, but will think about it for the right price. Asking $3500... Bike has still only been out side 4 times.

I'd still be interested in the bike. That said, I am confused on the sale price and potentially having paid $9k for it. The bike retailed for under $5k w/o the PT, but I can't imagine the PT added $4k to the cost. Are there other race wheels offered?

It is a very nice bike and Kestrel does a top-notch job with the frames and complete builds. Good luck with the sale.

The bike retailed for $7299. About $1500 for power meter and hub. $100 for chimp cage and mount and $150 pedals. If you're interested in the bike, feel free to send me a message with an offer.

I've attached a current link stating the original price along with current sale price. My bike has more equipment and priced substantially less, but I assure you, it's in the same condition. Thanks for the interest.

Im sorry to hear about the injuries and I dont mean to be disparaging, but you might get more interest if you lowered the price a bit. Its a nice bike and has the potential to be fast. That said, Im sure mybikeshop is trying to low ball you a bit too.

We did not "low ball" an offer on Mike's bike at all. In fact, we never made an offer on it after that post. We offered some metrics and guidance based on our experience much the same way I believe you just did.

Actually My Bike Shop made me an "offer" last time it was for sale. I even offered to ship it to Maryland, but then he never called me back. I still have the messages back and forth, and will gladly post them, but this post should be enough. I wouldn't put him on blast on here, but I believe he's playing games. Then posting bad information about my original post. If he truly was interested in the bike, he would have made another offer at what he felt was a better price. He didn't.

If someone was really looking to "help" someone, they would send a message and tell him his price seems a bit high, not try to post a bunch of BS...

A troll is a troll, no matter where you go.

That said, if you think the bike is worth something specific, let me know. Thanks for the interest.

No one is posting "bad" information, but unfortunately, what you paid doesn't really matter. PTs are cheap(er), and this bike could be picked up now for $2500, new. Your used bike, with a PT, is likely worth around that mark, if not less. It's a sweet ride, but times (and prices) have changed.

He most certainly did post bad information to derail my sale. He said that the bike retailed for much less than it did in an effort to make me look dishonest. I didn't state one false fact about bike, yet he did. I called him on it is all. If someone would like to offer me less, that's up to them. The reason the bike is up for $3500 was based off the original offer, with some play, that I had ACCEPTED from My Bike Shop.

Funny how trolls feel it necessary to blow up other peoples' posts for no reason... What exactly was the value of your post in this thread? You lose! Good day sir!!

To be honest, all the attention to this thread can only help my cause, so thanks! Haha

My Bike Shop, if you are TRULY interested in making an offer to the bike, feel free to message me.
