Do you go in phases where you get really into a certain food? No, I'm not pregnant.

Dried white Turkish figs, though you really, REALLY, shouldn't eat a bunch of them before a long run.

Sliced tomatoes with xvoo and salt and pepper, gazpacho or caprese--anything with tomatoes really.

Pizza. I make a homemade grain-free crust and love a margarita-style topping or homemade pesto/mozz combination.

There is also a local place that has the BEST gluten free crust imaginable. When I order from there I rotate between a white pizza (chicken, bacon, onions, green peppers, alfredo sauce), buffalo chicken pizza (self explanatory, hot sauce) and taco pizza (self explanatory, topped with Doritos).

So good.

I'm into soup.  The Vons next to my office offers up a variety every day for a couple bucks.  It's been various soups with oyster crackers almost every day for lunch for about 3 weeks.  My faves are the NE Clam Chowder, the chili, and the Tuscan Tomato Bisque.

Apples, I sometimes will eat 4 to 6 of them after dinner. Luckily I live in a fruit belt area where I can buy then for as little as .35/ib.

Oh, and I also eat the entire apple, core and all... but I guess that could go under another thread about weird stuff you do.

mmm, soup - but I make my own - batches in my crockpot, then I divide it up into servings and freeze it

Fresh grind peanut butter (the honey roasted peanut kind) -- cannot get enough of it since I discovered it.  I usually come home from work and have a spoonful.  Also have a spoonful with my recovery chocolate milk

Mexican. I've been making it twice a week.

I did venture into by Indian grocery store and bought pappadoums, chutneys and mango lime pickle. My tummy hurts from the spice....

I'll probably have wolf-man's azz tomorrow during my constitutional.

Slurpees from 7-11.  Half wild cherry, half cola.  It'd been a daily thing for about a week now.

"Avacado Crack Sauce" I'm with you there. I found a recipe for this stuff last summer. The recipe calls it salad dressing but I have yet to find anything that I cannot put it on. I make a double batch every Sunday!

Super-grainy-whole-grain-local-bread, toasted, and Justin's Almond Maple Nut Butter (want to talk about total CRACK - just give me a bottle and a spoon... or a knife... or a finger!), with local creamed honey added to the end of the second slice... and a nice cup of fresh ground, fresh brewed, DARK coffee.

In the evenings, it's been India Pale Lager from a local brewery here - hoppy enough to blast your top off, and substantial without being at all heavy.  That, or Cuba Libre's (but with diet Coke and a bit heavy on the lime) or a G&T (Botanist gin and diet Polar Tonic, with ample lime, is a sublime taste of summer).

We'll see what's next!

And "we're" not pregnant either, but a couple of the items from paragraph two above might have had something to do with now having three kids.

Matt

Very into kale with roasted garlic dressing. Even the kids love it. Throw some grilled chicken on top and some French bread and it's a great meal.

You know what you should eat. Yet you just don’t want to. Yuck—whole wheat bread, bran cereal, oatmeal, skim milk, spinach, fish, fruit for snacks and desserts.
