New Guy here! Want to go from couch to half-ironman by next summer. Need to lose about 70 lbs in the process. It is great to find a community where the encouragement is contagious. Hope to see you all in Lubbock next summer.

Good luck!! You have a great goal. I'm trying to lose some weight, too! After I lost 20 lbs. last fall I could suddenly run! It's amazing how the extra weight makes a difference. I want to lose another 15-20 lbs.

I've found a lot of good info here. Welcome!

You can do it! I personally am down 30lbs since starting my training in Dec. 03.  I still eat like crap, which is not good.  I know I'de be down more if a ate better.

Welcome!

Good for you I have done what you are about to do 1 1/2 yrs ago I was at 325lbs. and in really bad shape and just diagnosed with diabetes.

Now we travel forward 1 1/2 years and I am down to 205lbs I did get down to 182lbs but I slipped a little. But the blood is still staying between 5-9 on the Cdn. meter.

well, I have got my game face back on, And it is time to dump some weight.

Welcome to the site.

There are a lot of people that have been where we have and are at.

The support is out of this world, you can achieve your goal.
