This makes me really sad....  I would really like access to this in Jan and Feb!  Maybe MDRA will pull something magical out of their hat as a replacement.

Yeah. Jan and Feb is really when I hate running outside and would love some indoor running. Are they cutting it short due to the new stadium construction starting right after the football season?

That is my assumption - tear down time.

From this article: http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2013/10/21/timeline-of-dome-demolition-vikings-stadium-construction-revealed/

The Dome will be torn down to make way for the Vikings’ new home. And it’s a very tight timeline between now and 2016, when the Vikes move into their new stadium.

Michele Kelm-Helgen, the head of the state commission overseeing new stadium construction, says people shouldn’t expect a dramatic, dusty knockdown in Feb. of 2014.

“They’re not going to do an implosion, they’re going to take it down section by section in a more traditional demolition fashion, so we don’t have a bunch of dust and dirt that’s kicked up all over the neighborhood,” Kelm-Helgen said.

That sucks. I love watching dome implosions. Though with all the Gopher/Twins/Vikes games there, MN sports fans have seen plenty of dome implosions in the past 30 years...

They should have just cut their losses when the roof collapsed a couple of years ago...

I can train for half marathons on pavement and on trails, but as soon as I change it up to gravel or loose dirt my knee swells and the pain it causes is unreal. Any ideas why this happens?
