Hi there people, I am on the look out for a swim coach for the upcoming season for a local swim club in Agassiz.

Please see the attached ad and I hope to hear anyone soon.Head Coach Position

The Agassiz-Harrison Aquanauts Summer Swim Club is looking for a head coach for the summer 2014, May to August, swim season. We have approximately 45 swimmers ranging in age from 5-16, and abilities that range from beginner to provincial qualifiers. The Agassiz and Harrison Hot Springs area is located 1.5 hours from Vancouver, 40 minutes from Abbotsford and 20 minutes from Chilliwack, BC. About 50% of our club is competitive and we hope to grow those numbers yearly. It is very important we find an enthusiastic, engaged coach, who can instill superior swimming technique to our hard working kids. Salary is negotiable and competitive. Posting is open until filled.

Qualifications / Responsibilities
• Certified level 1 NCCP minimum
• Experience as Head Coach an asset
• Expertise in all technical aspects of competitive swimming
• Complete satisfactory criminal record check
• Strong technical knowledge, Leadership, Teamwork,
Cooperation, and Communication skills.
• Knowledge of Hy-tek Team Manager and other computer software
• Administrative duties such as scheduling and attendance
• Attend all competitions that our club has swimmers attending
• Report to Club executive by providing a monthly report at the executive meeting
and membership at AGM & parent’s meetings
• Communicate regularly with parents on swimmer progress
• Communicate regularly with President &/or Vice President of board of directors
• Supervise and train assistant/volunteer coaches
