Subject: Any Kinvara users try the TR?
I've been running in the Kinvara 4 for a few months and like them fine. I'm looking to do a longer trail run and worry about not having logged enough miles in my minimalist trail shoes to race in them. I've seen more than a few Kinvara users on the sight and was just wondering if anyone has tried the Kinvara TR trail shoes. How similar is the ride to the road version?

I haven't used any of the Kinvara road shoes, but I do have a pair of the Kinvara TR trail shoes.  I like them alright (honestly, I prefer my inov-8's over the Kinvaras, but they're fine).  I find trail running to be easier on the body than road running, so I suspect that if you're fine with the Kinvara road shoes, you'll be fine with the trail shoes as well.

Thanks for the advice. I have a pair of trail roc 150s that I like, but my calves get sore with longer runs. Thinking I should run in something closer to what I put more miles on in training.

My right knee has a pain in the front, just below the kneecap. I walked 24 miles of IM Louisville. No pain while walking but it started immediately when trying to run.

So here I was, a hard-working, respectable, just-turned-forty-six-year-old, who never considered herself athletic, lining up in my swim cap and goggles for my first triathlon.

I couldn't believe that my splits kept getting lower! I started to run harder after I passed the "5 km" sign and picked a few people that I wanted to pass.

What to wear under the wetsuit? What to wear for the bike and the run? Good thing someone invented the wonderful trisuit, to which we’ve become accustomed. It’s supposed to make our lives so simple.

Enter the new TYR X-Sight goggles. The X-Sights have been designed with a flexible nose bridge that (surprise, surprise) is shaped like an “X”.

It's great to have goals, but by itself, a goal is not much. Have you ever shared with someone else that you would “try” to accomplish a goal?

Can anyone think of a better way to spend Labour Day weekend than doing your first tri? Ok, maybe doing your 2nd, 3rd...50th tri...but you get my point. :)
