I signed up for the St. Anthonys Sprint TRI and looking for a training partner. I live near Downtown, but I am willing to commute. This has been a goal of mine for awhile and would like the company and support!

I am also signed up for St. A's. I'm currently doing the oly training program, run focused. I'm a back of the pack and in the 45-50 age group. Drop me a line if you want to chat about what your training goals are. You may be WAAAAAaay faster than me and I wouldn't be much help to train with.

Good luck,

Bruce

No one is slower than me .... I am frequently passed by tree sloths who mock me ...

I'm not competing to win. I just like it and the training. I live near Tierra Verde so a good place to meet to ride and I'd be willing to drive to run with some folks. Just let me know when and where.

I'm in largo and would love a partner. I have to go easy on the running part til my bone bruise on my knee heals. If you're wanting to spin I can definitely do that. I'm also going to do the sprint at st Anthony's.

Bruce I visit my father out in Tierra verde quite a bit. Maybe one of these weekends we can meet up for a spin around the island. It's a 28 mile ride from isla del sol.

How do I know if my cleats need to be adjusted? And how do you know in which direction to adjust them? I have been having medial knee pain and edema but my LBS says the cleat placement is fine.

I have pedals with the cage and when I ride 2+ hours my legs feel much more tired then if I took out my husband's bike with clipless pedals. Do clipless pedals truly make the difference?

Training is often a lonely proposition and sometimes we are our own worst enemies. Finding good training partners can provide you with that extra external motivation to bring out your best.

The triathletes really inspired me. I watched them in awe as childlike thoughts went through my head like, "I want to do that!" But then reality set in. “Who are you kidding?

I started riding this spring with the Carnac shoes on Look pedals (with plenty of float). About five minutes into a ride I get sharp pain on the outer edge of my feet, just behind the pedal.

I’ve signed up to do the St. Anthony’s Olympic Triathlon in April. I will be 49 in May and need some advice on a good training program to fit into my full time work schedule.
