Would you be willing to send me the full Ironman plan in excel as I am planning on doing that next year and well, if I can get the training plan now that is one less thing I have to do.

Thanks!

Holy crap people, quit being so cheap! The book it what?...$10 for the online edition. The guy spent the time to make the plan. Maybe try giving him a little money before ripping him off... $10 for a plan is way cheaper than others ones out there.

You're right. I didn't realize it was one he had paid for. Nevermind.

Using a high-volume schedule for many months is not the best tactic. Build speed and skill several months out, and then transition to a high-volume IM plan.

This plan is an advanced plan in terms of volume and intensity and appropriate for someone who is looking to go under 5:00 and as fast as 4:30. There isn’t a lot of fluff in the plan.

I just had a couple of problems, I could count the number of triathlons I had contested at zero. Secondly, I could count on one hand the number of times I had been swimming in the last 17 years.

The schedule consists of at least 3 workouts per week in each sport, 2 days of strength training and core work too. Most weeks have 4 days of cycling. The maximum volume is 14 hours in week 5.

This half Ironman plan covers many weeks of challenging, but attainable training for someone who has some endurance experience, and ideally some Olympic distance races within the past season.
