Last year, I was a spectator and sponsor for 1 local pro, Pat Schuster (Arlington TX) and this year, I am training for my first big race. It was great to watch these athletes do amazing things like cross the finish line at a 6:30 run pace....when that is a sprint for me, all the way to those who have NEW hearts, lost over 100 lbs, or limbs, and cross the finish line. Can't wait to see you out there. If you want to know why I sponsor pro triathletes, we will have a booth there, or come by the Playtri booth too.

I am the director of sales for www.vector450.com and have competed in 3 events leading up to this race.

I like to look at the age of the guy or gal in front. If they are younger....they can pass, but older....sucks!
I got lucky and ended up in the 45yr male wave, just after elites. So it will be still daylight when I cross!

Good luck to you too!

My lungs were burning and my legs were hurting but I had the biggest smile on my face as I ran on the red carpet and received my Ironman 70.3 medal.

Some mistakes I made during the Hawaii Ironman 70.3. Don't be caught out on the course not knowing how or not having the equipment to change a flat tire.

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.

A bad race left me smoldering, but time and a gentle breeze ignited my passion to race again.
