Subject: Will this Power Meter fit my Cervelo P2?
Hey everyone I have been shopping around for a second hand quarq power meter and was wanting to know if this will fit my 2009 cervelo p2? It is a heck of a deal so I was wanting to jump on it as soon as possible. It is a Sram Quarq S975 Power Meter Road Crankset with a GXP BB and 175mm SRAM crank arms. Gearing is 53/39t. I know it's not being made anymore so idk how difficult it would be in the future to get parts for it if needed.

Or should I keep looking/saving my pennies in order to buy a new PM? Biggest problem is budget...if I want a new one then I won't be getting a PM this year but if I go with a used one then I can swing it and would be training/racing with power this season.

As always your thoughts/opinions are always highly valued!

GXP bb will fit your P2. Same install as a shimano external bb. How tall are you? 175 cranks usually are used by riders over 6'

I have a 975 Quarq on my 2007 P2.  So it will fit yours fine as long as you get a GXP bottom bracket ($30).

Currently, Quarq is offering to replace any 975 or Cinqo to the newer models for a price.  http://www.quarq.com/upgradeprogram

As far as replacement parts, my understanding is that if the quarq is out of warranty and fails, you can still have it "fixed" by going through their crash replacement program.  Basically for around $800, you get a brand new Quarq...most likely a Riken.
