Just saw it yesterday. I've gotta say I enjoyed it.
Enjoyable for kids and parents alike.
Anybody else see this with their kid/s?

We absolutely loved it.

I thought it was great how they took a shot at their heaviest users: middle aged men who grew up on legos and put lots of money into them now, come home from a frustrating job and find the one thing they can CONTROL if you just follow the directions. I sooooo get that. The "twist" at the end was done so well.

What's funny, is that my daughter is the one who is most like President Business in our house. She has a bunch of sets from the Lego Friends series, (mostly the ones with her name on them) and she likes to build it once, then leave it alone. My son crashes his x-wing fighter, so I get to fix it several times.

Even my wife was caught laughing at several moments in the theater.

I actually bought the soundtrack, and they want to hear Batman's "song" over and over.

My wife and two girls are the lego builders in the house - I had Lincoln Logs as a kid.  They liked the movie and drive me crazy with the silly song.  I thought the movie was ok, but nothing like animated films I really liked - Up, Despicable Me, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, etc.

The girls like to play with Legos and my wife is the OCD one.  Every time they get a set, me wife tells them to keep the pieces separate.  Much to my delight, they end up mixing sets together and using their imagination to build and play.

Just when I thought the "Everything's Awesome" song was out of my head.
WHAM!

The movie was not bad and the kids loved it so that's what counts.

Liked it, but I wished I saw before the level of hype.
Raised expectations too high.

My eight-year-old son is a fanatical legomaniac.  He spends hours creating the most amazing things but has had zero interest in the seeing the movie.  We'll wait for Netflix or DVD.

He did want to see Robocop which he has always liked.  He said he much prefered the original movie.  Without spoiling anything there were a few scenes that freaked him out a little.
